Carolina Resuscitation Academy was founded by Paramedics, ICU/ER Nurses, and EMS educators who are passionate about delivering high-quality, hands-on training that prepares individuals and teams to respond with confidence in real-life emergencies.

About me:
Jonathan Valdez is the founder of Carolina Resuscitation Academy and a critical care nurse driven by a simple belief: every community is stronger when more people know how to save a life. His journey began in New York as a paramedic serving the NYC and Long Island region, where he witnessed firsthand how preparation, teamwork, and courage can change the outcome of someone’s worst day. His dedication was recognized with two Suffolk County CPR Save awards and a legislative proclamation honoring his service.
Now based in the Carolinas, Jonathan brings that same passion to the ICU and to every class he teaches. Through evidence‑based CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS education, he focuses on empowering people — from healthcare professionals to everyday community members — with the confidence to act when seconds matter. His mission is to build a connected, resilient, life‑saving community across the region, one learner at a time.
